The first full moon in 2020 and
Chinese Lantern Festival, the end of Chinese Spring Festival.
Chinese celebrate Chinese New Year for 15 days.
I went out to watch the moon for my late father.
He told me that his hometown 福建莆田celebrate Chinese New Year on today
because the outsider invaded the village so they could not celebrate Chinese New until
they went back home.
When he went to Taiwan when he was 13-year-old, the last thing his mother said to him is
" Come back on Lantern Festival."
The war started the next year and he couldn't go back until 50 years later.
Lantern Festival is a sad day for my dad.
The moon is hiding behind the street light.
